Ugh!

I think I'm going to go home and cry. It's been that kind of day. If I'm online tonight don't expect me to play anything. I'm tired of letting my team down and I'm tired of getting yelled at for letting my team down.

Maybe a mind numbing game of Bejeweled 2 or Boogie Bunnies could do me some good. Or maybe I'll finally connect my PS2 up in my new house and play some Final Fantasy VII. Or maybe I'll just crawl in my bed, when I get home, and go to sleep. It's been that kind of day.

How would you know Zen, you're not in Dark Matter any more :(

I hope your group isn't raggin' on you for not doing what they need to win. That's not a group I wouldn't feel comfortable staying with.

It's hard to be mad or upset with them when they're right Natra. And they are. At times I think I've cost them more wins then I've helped them get. My kill/death ratio fluxuates between .5 and .3 if that should tell you anything. :(

I was playing GoW2 when a friend of a friend jumped into our game. We were playing on Ruins and I ended up being the last one on our team left against 3 enemies. That friend of a friend say "well it's over now". My friend said "we've still got Pengwenn." to which the friend of a friend said "like I said, it's over, we lost."

I was still alive at this point and I do think I managed to kill one of them before they got me. But if you put your thumb and first finger together so you can't see through them but they're not touching yet that's how small I felt at that moment.

My friends defended me in the loss somewhat, but ever since then I've been acutely aware of how much I really don't contribute to the wins my team gets but I DO contribute to our losses.

If I'm in a full room and I see one of our friends jump on that I know would like to play with the rest of them I've bowed out of games (with one excuse or another) so they can get someone in who would actually help them and who they'd have more fun playing with.

I'll play with you anytime Pengwenn. I don't care if I win or lose anymore. It is more how you play the game. The person you describe is not only a poor loser, but a poor winner as well and XBOX live is full of poor winners. Winning isn't everything. As long as I enjoy the game I am playing then winning or what other players say or who I play with doesn't matter to me anymore. That is kind of why I like playing Hard Core Team death match now. If someone on my team bad talks me, I follow them around gas grenading them and then team kill them. That is kind of fun, it makes them squeal.

c'mon Penny you dont need to play with people who shout at you, whether you do something wrong or not...and especially if its making you feel this way

Kralon hit the nail on the head about XBL saying their are poor winners,XBL are full of them

playing COD5 the other day when we lost someone was yelling at someone who had 3 kills and 20 deaths..he was telling him he may as well buy a Wii..and the very next game we had the other team won again, only for the guy with the most kills to flame the rest of his team saying he had to do all the work..crazy

hide your online status and play random/public matches if you still wanna play...or play with friends who are easier going,i am sure the Sand Dog would be listed as one of these easy goers

It's not my friends making me feel this way. It's ME making MYSELF feel this way. I'm getting frustrated easily lately about how poor I'm playing. When a friend yells "Pengwenn where were you?" I don't think he's angry with me (if so, than only for that moment) but I feel bad that I couldn't play well enough to either 1) save him, or 2) kill the guy who got him. I usually just run around and get killed. But then I'm very good at telling everyone else where the enemy is . . . usually, so I guess that's something. :)

I agree with Natra. Since I do play with you a lot in GOW2 I have never thought " Gee, Pengwenn is going to loose". If I did think that way I hope you would either yell at me or ask Hester to hit me upside the head for being an a%^. Half the reason I play GOW2 is because of the game itself. Yes it has issues but everygame has issues. The other 1/2 is because I play with people like you. That to me is the whole idea of a friends list. I would dump a "friend of a friend" if they where playing with us, if for any reason one of my friends had to take sh&* for how they play. We both know with Gears it is a host base game with a lot of issues. Everyone brings a different ability to the team. I am sorry that you had to feel the "ugh" feeling with our group.

Are you suggesting we go back to a more "touchy-feely" kind of feeling with our group? I'm not so sure about that. Sand Dog can get a bit frisky sometimes. Besdies, it will give a new meaning to "help me up" don't you think? ;) *wink wink*

Ha Ha Ha touchy feely. Only with Hester :) I would have a hard time playing Gears and not swearing. I did play with Sand dog last night with Left 4 Dead and I have to say its a fun coop game to play.Again I still have to agree with Natra that you should not feel that you are being ragged on in a Party setting playing a Gears.

...and I would definitely smack him in the head for being an a** anytime you need it! :-)
