Military fashionista?

I don't know if I should be more worried that an ex-soldier, who's served 4 tours of duty in Somalia and Iraq, is trying to give me fashion advice for my Xbox Live Avatar. Or, the fact that his advice was "I like you in skirts and boots." What? No top? Oh, that's right. He's a guy. Maybe he's hoping that Microsoft will create a program that makes our avatars jump up and down instead of doing the wave. If they do, and you log in to see "an ancient ruler of Asia" [name withheld] just sitting on the dashboard not playing any games, then you'll know what he's doing. I just hope he doesn't go blind. :)

But there's a difference . . . you're married to her. I don't know if I should be flattered or creeped out that some of you guys (he's not the only one) seem obsessed with what my avatar is wearing or how she looks.

I don't know how anyone could find the avatars sexy. Has Microsoft put a disclaimer that the avatars are over the age of 18? If not you could all be closet pedophiles. They all look a little young to me. Could be worse. Guys could have the avatar of a judge that makes the sound of a penis pump like that creep that was in the news.

Well, I always sent a message out of fun just to show that someone out there is seeing it. If you watch mine I change it almost every other day . Dont know why , I guess its the mood I am in.

Yeah, it's nice to be noticed. I think anybody will tell you that. I change my avatar based on my moods too. I try to create something along the lines of a theme. Hence my goth, indian or my little elf girl I've got now. I get bored easily so I like to change. Of course I'm getting bored with the selections of customizing options and I don't really want to pay for more . . . unless they come out with some Star Wars themed outfits. I'd dress my avatar up as a wookie.

You know thats funny you said that about Star Wars outfits. My new XBox magazine talked about in 2009 a "clothing store" for Avatars. The thought of spending money on our "cyber friend" sounds a bit bad but people will. I still have thousnads of points due to family over the holidays giving me gift cards so Im spending money I dont have to pay for. To someone who has to pay for clothing it may be different.

I'd rather buy games than clothing any day. Virtual or otherwise. ;)
